E-drug: Historical quinine use?
-------------------------------
I'm writing a story about the old west in USA (1874). Part of the
story deals with how quinine (Peruvian bark) and warm alcohol soaks
were used to help wounds and avoid amputation. In those days, was
quinine used as a powder or a liquid? Was it applied externally or
taken internally?
Thanks.
Mike
