Truls,

Besides the fact that simple, affordable and commercial
seem to be conratdicting each other :-)-O I wonder why
doesn't the WHO roll one of their own along the lines of
the IDRIS (or what it is called) data base system UNESCO
gives away free of charge to libraries?

I have brought this topic up some time ago here but no
response:

I am convinced it can not be that difficult to design
suitable SQL tables, write modular programs interacting
with mySQL on Linux, using XWindows tools such as tcl/tk
or XForms (there is a free X Server for Windows and the Mac)
or text based 4GL tools such as Onyx and give the stuff away
for free.
