| Event Details | After the great success of the 1er Virtual Congress of Cardiology, with 7574 registrations from 95 countries, the Argentine Federation of Cardiology has decided to organize the 2nd Virtual Congress of Cardiology, in honor of Dr. Ren� Favaloro, which will take place from September 1st to November 30th 2001.
This Congress is sponsorship by the World Heart Federation.
The official languages will be Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Important cardiologists of the wold have been invited, many of whom have already participated in the First Congress.
The methodology used in the 1st Virtual Congress of Cardiology will be followed. Access to this Virtual Congress will be possible through Internet. The scientific material will be displayed on the Web pages; opinions, contributions, questions, and answers will be sent through e-mail, and discussions will be carried out on line through scheduled Chats.
For participants who have not access to the Web, a system to obtain pages through e-mail (FTPMail) will be implemented.
The main events will include modern multimedia resources.- The possibility of teleconferences from Europe and U.S.A. is available.
The Scientific Programme includes 17 Thematics Units with lectures delivered by guest cardiologists, symposia, controversies, courses and brief communications At the same time, 17 Thematic Forums, now in activity in the Continuous Education Forum of FAC (Spanish) will continue.
A system of self-evaluation REFACIN (Spanish), that made it possible to obtain points for recertification of the Title as Specialist on Cardiology in Argentina through the system of the Argentine Federation of Cardiology will be implemented once again.
The Newsletter (both in English and Spanish) will be edited weekly and sent to all members during the 3 months of the Congress.
The results of the Congress will be shown on the web and published in a CD, as was as done in the previous Congress.
Registration is free and it is not necessary to have an electronic mail.- With just only one e-mail address an unlimited number of interested people can be enrolled. (physicians, biochemists, technicians, nurses, medical doctors� students, etc.).
All the people registered in the 1st Virtual Congress will be enrolled in this 2nd Virtual Congress of Cardiology.
