Eastern Mediterranean Congress on Heart Health in Cairo, Egypt, on April 10-13, 2002.
The Congress is organized by the Eastern Mediterranean Network on Heart Health (EMNHH), an affiliate member of the World Heart Federation, and is chaired by Dr. Osama Abdel Aziz. The Congress will be held jointly with the congress of the Egyptian Society of Atherosclerosis (which is chaired by Dr. Osama Abdel Aziz) and Cardiology Update 2002 (which is organized annually by Dr. Flavio Burgarella, president of Heart Friends Around the World).
Colleagues from these different associations have joined and coordinated their efforts to ensure a rich program for a spectrum of attendants from clinicians to public health specialists. Prevention of cardiovascular disease is a major component of the work of EMNHH.
