Regarding pharmacoeconomic analyses: I'm curious how the
results based on practice/drug costs/lab costs translate
from one country to the next. In our province, for example,
many drugs used in hospital are purchased at a contract
price that is frequently than that available to community
pharmacies. Monitoring practices - entailing eg platelet
counts or PTT (for standard heparin) - in our hospital may
not be the same as in others. To what extent can one
extrapolate findings such as those in the second article?

Any thoughts?
