E-DRUG: Withdrawal of antipsychotics in Pakistan (cont)
-------------------------------------------------------
This is response to Mr. Tausif's letter in which he mentions that no
generic for thyroxin is available in the country. I would like to add here
that we are a regular buyer of thyroxin from GlaxoWellcome. They have
stopped supplying thyroxin without any prior notice to us or our a
patients. We however have been able to procure thyroxin from a national
company 'Ms. Dosaco' their product is now freely available in the country.
So what if Glaxo do not feel it their responsibility to provide: the right
drug to the right patient at the right time--. There is always someone else
who can consider himself responsible. In this case Dosaco has proved to be
more responsible than the multinational Glaxo.
