E-DRUG: Israel introduces generic drugs scheme (cont)

Ngoyi's analogy comment on the Israel 'generic order' makes a good
reading. However, his request for imperial data on his perceived concept is
difficult to substantiate. Above all, I didn't mean to imply that the
pharmaceutical care providers should capitalize on the (trust) ignorant
society. Billy's (Futter) comment on the issue is exemplary and is well
elaborated on the role of a pharmaceutical care providers or any other
health professionals. The society trusts pharmacists and they need to build
on that confidence. As they provide their pharmacy initiated care,
substituting branded products for generics, they must explain to their
clients. The more the profession is perceived to be a trusted cadre the
easier it becomes to implement the generic scheme. The society will be more
likely to accept their advise. Above all, the profession's quest for
helping the society make the best use of medicines for intended treatment
outcomes should be upheld.

I wish Nyoyi good luck as he develops his scenario further.
