E-DRUG AIDS/HIV Treatment Access

This is a plea to all e-druggers who have an interest in the subject, 
whether about Treatment Access for HIV generally or specifically about 
prevention of mother-to-child transmission using AZT.  There has been a 
steady stream of messages on e-drug about the many issues concerned.

A lively discussion is ongoing preparatory to the Geneva AIDS meeting 
scheduled for July.  
E-Druggers could be contributing much more to this forum.  To join the 
forum, send a message to  < treatment-access@hivnet.ch > with the word 
join in the subject line.  

Any messages posted to e-drug on these topics  could then be sent at the 
same time to the treatment-access forum, making an important contribution 
from the ess.drugs perspective to what is a difficult and complex 
discussion across a wide spectrum of ethical, political, practical and 
philosophical considerations.

In a separate message I am forwarding information about an international 
seminar which happens at the end of this week in London, organised by the 
UKNGO AIDS Consortium.  E-druggers such as Richard Laing, Philippa 
Saunders, Eva Ombaka and myself will be attending but any e-mail thoughts 
from the rest of you will be very welcome!
