E-DRUG: Low-cost British National Formulary
-------------------------------------------

The Essential Drugs Project has for the past eight years
distributed free copies of the British National Formulary to
people producing high-quality drug information, undertaking
training, and with responsibilities for drug regulation. As a
new issue appeared, we were given copies of the previous one.
We fundraised to pay for postage costs and were able to send
the books to about 200 people twice a year. Now, the
Pharmaceutical Press has been privatised and our source of
BNFs has dried up.

However, in view of the popularity, proven value and
versatility of the BNF, the Pharmaceutical Press has agreed
to make copies available at a special low price (one-third
of the normal sale price) for users in developing countries.

The BNF is revised every six months, in March and September,
but the low-cost offer applies to the September issue only,
to avoid administrative complexities.

The September 1997 issue (no. 34) is now available from
Teaching Aids at Low Cost (TALC), for five pounds sterling
plus postage and packing (2.75 surface mail, 3.75 airmail),
via cheque, bank transfer, Mastercard or VISA, payable
to 'TALC'. Please send your order to:
