These are important points to raise. Has anyone looked at the other
side of the coin, i.e.: the impact of FGM on the transmission of the
AIDS virus? Or the impact of "dry" sex as a significant risk factor
among African women? Logic could lead one to conclude that yes both
activities are conducive to AIDS transmission. Other than the male
circumcision article that appears years ago in Scientific American
[?], I haven't seen or heard much about either of these two topics.
