[indices] Aminoglycosides dilution and infusion

Dear all,

May I know whether there are references recommending the final
concentration of gentamicin after dilution that is more than 1 mg/ml? The
current practice in my hospital has administered gentamicin or netilmicin by bolus (over less than 3 minutes) undiluted or in very small dilution fluid.

So far, no adverse event was reported. If we were to follow the manufacturer recommendation, we will need very large dilution fluid especially with the large dose of once daily dosing ( e.g near 500 ml NS for gentamicin 480m g daily dosing )

Will appreciate for any comment, experience or advice.
