[indices] Diclofenac paed dose for pre/post-op pain [2]

Dear Kae,

The new BNF for Children (just published) also gives doses of diclofenac
for its licensed indication, JRA.
Other doses quoted are;
For mild to moderate pain, pyrexia, relief of pain and inflammation in
soft tissue disorders;
By mouth or rectally:
Child 6 months to 18 years
0.3 - 1 mg/kg 3 times a day ( not to exceed 150 mg daily)

Not sure about the pre and post op situation and if any safety studies
have been done.
