Dose adjustment of Desferrioxamine

Dear Colleagues,

A patient aged 14 years, female, suffering from Pyruvate kinase
deficiency and has got chronic iron overload. She has been on
Desferrioxamine treatment for last 7 years(5 days a week). Could anyone
help us by giving information about how to decrease the dose? Whether
decrease in the dose is advisable? Whether any other advances in the
treatment of Iron Overload?
