INDICES> polygeline and shock?
------------------------------
[Cross-posted from E-drug due to technical content; WB]
In Sri Lanka we have had reports of an unusual rapid fall of blood
pressure in patients, following the administration of
polygeline. Although a definitive relationship to polygeline has not been
established by us, I am aware that a similar problem arose with
polygeline in 1999. At that time an vitro coagulation test (PAS test) was
done and there was an indication that it had potential biological
relevance to the problem stated. Can someone enlighten me as to whether
this test is now included in the finished product specifications for
polygeline. Also a reference to the test methodology.
Thanks
