Indices; Surgical Skin Marking
Dear All
I have a question which you may be able to help me with.
We have a gentleman who requires surgery, however he is very
dark skinned. The surgical marker pens we use normally at the
Royal Adelaide are Black and tend to "disappear" when applied to
this gentleman's skin. What surgical markers are used in other
hospitals for patients who are very dark skinned?
Is titanium dioxide used (as per tattoos)?
Thank you for all your help
