INDICES> Products containing Pseudoephedrine
-------------------------------------------------
[rerouted from E-drug due to technical content; WB]
Sometime back in 1999,The WHO pharmaceuticals newsletter reported on
research done by the French commission on pharmacovigilance which resulted
in restrictions on use of products containing pseudoephedrine and phenyl
propanolamine.I understand that Morocco had actually prohibited use of such
products in children below 12 years old.
Does anyone have any more information on this?
I.E what is the latest on it and what are the reasons
behind the restrctions? What should be done about all those decongestant
cough preparations containing these ingredients especially those that are
available OTC?
