INDICES> Unstability of cotrimoxazole suspension (3)
----------------------------------------------------

dear colleagues,

Back in the 80s in Somalia we had some co-trimoxazole tablets that
smelled bad when the new sealed tin was opened and tablets became
spotted with black. They were from a Swiss manufacture and procured
through Unipac. We sent samples back to Europe (I don't remember
where) for testing. It was found that the formulation was faulty - I
think the preservative was not appropriate. Perhaps it would be
advisable to send samples of your syrup for testing.

[sounds like a fungus contamination? Paracetamol tablets had a similar problem.
