INDICES> Sodium bicarbonate with EDTA Sodium (2)
------------------------------------------------
Dear Fred,
I have looked through some books and come across the following information.
1. Use "Disodium EDTA" instead of "Sodium EDTA"
2. After autoclaving you have to put the solution in the final container in which
you will store the prepared solution. Then pass carbon dioxide gas through the
solution for 1 minute. Close the container tightly and do not use the solution for
2 hours."
3. Or if you think that your production cost will increase by doing so, you can
just do "aseptic filtration through 0.22 microns filter paper under aseptic
conditions".
4. You must also check for the pH of the solution as that might also cause the
colour to change or precipitate formation and then locate the optimum pH.
I hope the above information is helplful.
