In Australia Faulding manufacture a 120 mg/5 mL dexamethasone injection
however I doubt that it is still used for shock. As far as I am aware there
is insufficient evidence to support the use of high-dose steroids in shock.
This may be part of the reason for discontinuing the 'shock pack'. If
short-term, high-dose steroids are required for other indications, IV
methylprednisolone may be suitable.
