Dear Joe,

Until last year desipramine was still on the Dutch reimbursement list; 
it is a metabolite of imipramine, and was said to be less sedative. 
However, it is 30-50% more expensive than the classical tricyclics 
(amitriptyline, nortriptyline, imipramine). No obvious reason to prefer 
it - I know of no recent comparative trials vs imipramine.
