Sir, Madam,

A LETTER OF APPEAL

We are an NGO (Human Health Alert) based in the South
West Province, Cameroon specialized in Drug/Community
Health Information and othe information related to
human health.

In Cameroon, high health care cost forces patients to
purchase drugs from illegal sellers (hawkers and
others).  Doctors are now prescribing generics, but
their quality are dubious and else no institution is
ready to give scientifically valid drug information.

To this end, we have identified this lack of
information on drugs as the major health hazard to our
population.  Therefore, an urgent need of an
independent drug information centre.

In this view, to carry out activities, we wish to
appeal for the necessary support, be it technical,
material or any other.

Your assistance, Sir, is highly awaited and for the
meantime we remain
