[moderator comment: Please add also a generic name (if available) and the context of
your question. It is otherwise difficult for other E-druggers to know what you
want to know!

SYNVIC did not appear in Martindale.

Do you maybe mean SYNVISC? That is a Novartis product consisting of hyaluronan, which is
registered in several countries for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee.

Synvic disposable syringe is a device and not a drug. The following is the FDA description of Synvisc. This
device is indicated for the treatment of pain in osteoarthritis of the knee in patients who have failed to respond
adequately to conservative nonpharmacologic therapy and to simple analgesics (e.g. acetaminophen). MAA will
not provide coverage of this product through the Prescription Drug Program. There are other similar products of
this nature out there and will be treated the same way.

>From the advertisement Internet site (www.synvisc.com):
Synvisc® is a milestone viscosupplementation treatment used to relieve knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. This elastoviscous
joint fluid supplement acts as a shock absorber and lubricant for the knee, and is used in patients who do not obtain adequate
relief from simple painkillers or from exercise and physical therapy.

Best to contact Novartis in Kenya and ask them for information?
