Dear Natalie,
"Neoton" = phosphocreatine. It is briefly described in Martindale
("Was used...... etc.) It is widely distributed in the body,
particularly striated muscle, as phosphorus supplier. It was used in
Russia as "cardioprotective" and "antiarrhythmic" on the basis of
two case reports in the Russian literature. For the indication you
mentioned there is no proof; some old experiments were done on
piglets and rats.
"Encephabol" was advertised for the same indication. All this is plain
rubbish. For prevention there is only oxygen, and once damage is
done there is little one can do except wait and see.....
