INDICES> Fansidar resistance

I am working in Geita, in the west of Tanzania, and have noted quite a few 
cases of resistance to the standard adult dose of Fansidar ie 3 tablets. the 
cases have all been plasmodium falciparum, confirmed on blood slide, and in 
general the patients have had a relapse on day 3 after treatment.
There is talk of the combination of Fansidar 3 tablets stat with Doxycycline 
100mg bd for 7 days. does anyone have some advice on other treatment or 
combinations.
