To the INDICES
Dear Colleagues,
I have an inquiry about the current status of Silver Sulphadiazine cream
used for prophylaxis and treatment of infection in burn wounds. Some medical
practitioners in Uganda say that it is essential and life-saving but others
say it causes problems like increasing hypersensitivity to sulphur
medications. The latter think that we can do better with just Vaseline
instead of this product
Could anybody give some highlights on this subject?
Thank you,
Sr. Rovina Turyazayo, Pharm. D
