The USP DI monograph says nothing about chloroquine being photosensitive. See below under packaging and storage:

Parenteral Dosage Forms
CHLOROQUINE HYDROCHLORIDE INJECTION USP
Usual adult and adolescent dose
Malaria
Intramuscular, initially 200 to 250 mg (160 to 200 mg base), repeated in six hours if necessary, not to exceed 1 gram (800 mg base) in the first twenty-four hours.

Liver abscess, amebic
Intramuscular, 200 to 250 mg (160 to 200 mg base) per day for ten to twelve days.

Note: Slow intravenous infusion, over at least four hours, has not been associated with any increase in side effects compared with oral administration.

Usual pediatric dose
Malaria
Intramuscular or subcutaneous 05, 4.4 mg (3.5 mg base) 62 per kg of body weight, repeated in six hours if necessary, not to exceed a total dose of 12.5 mg (10 mg base) per kg of body weight per tw

Intravenous infusion, initially 16.6 mg (13.3 mg base) per kg of body weight over eight hours, followed by 8.3 mg (6.6 mg base) per kg of body weight every six to eight hours over at least four hour

Liver abscess, amebic
Intramuscular, 7.5 mg (6 mg base) per kg of body weight per day for ten to twelve days.

Note: In no instance should a single intramuscular or subcutaneous dose exceed 6.25 mg (5 mg base) per kg of body weight, since children are especially sensitive to the effects of the 4-aminoquinol

Packaging and storage

Store below 40 _C (104 _F), preferably between 15 and 30 _C (59 and 86 _F), unless otherwise specified by manufacturer. Protect from freezing
