INDICES> INDICES Statistics

I just scanned the Indices statistics briefly, and to my amazement
the number of subscritions from developping countries is very low.
Is there a way to increase the subscription rate in those areas,
maybe through WHO?

Foppe's question is a good one.
INDICES was set up with the main aim
being the support of those working in developing countries who do not
have direct access to drug information centres and resources.
However we cannot do this without very active partners in developed
countries !
A rate limiting step in developing countries is obviously computer
and internet access. Healthnet have helped considerably with this.
The challenge is getting the INDICES message to those in developing countries
and making the importance of quality drug information widely known.
Thereafter access to technology is the rate limiting factor. Problems
with access in developing countries must also not be overlooked.
Any ideas or comments from the list ?
