As Quinine is often injected diluted in Dextrose 5 % we make up appropriate
amounts with Dextrose 50% so that 2 or 5ml (as the case may be) give the
required dosage. We then give the mother an appropriate syringe so she can
draw up the required amount and push it (so to speak) into the child's
mouth. That works quite well and as a course is 9 days at the most we are
not concerned about stability.
