Drug companies ban freebies to doctors in India [2]
************
Though the said code by OPPI does exist in Black and White, what is the implementation level by pharma companies is a big question mark. These are just "Code of Conduct" and more importantly are "Voluntarily". Companies themselves need to be blamed for this mess of providing "freebies" to doctors in order to increase their "market share" and "bottom line".
It is a good and progressive sign from Pharmaceutical companies so as to restrict unwanted practices.
We need to see to what extent these measures are effective and can clean up the market.
