Training Programme on Rational Use of Medicines for Nurses (2)
*************************************************************
Dear group,
DSPRUD deserves to be congratulated on this initiative. I had an opportunity to co-ordinate a similar program targeted for pharmacists.
I have read the entire message with great interest. Just wanted to share one piece of information! While the Institute of Medicine report will continue to guide all those working on medication errors (or patient safety, otherwise), I would like the group to note that we have been working on medication errors for the past five years. This is in the Indian situations and the emerging statistics would help us to estimate the burden for our country. The members who are interested can download a recent publication free of cost at www.pharmacypractice.org/vol05/pdf/017-020-en.pdf.
Additional findings are at the stage of publication! Would welcome any constructive suggestions!
Kind regards,
Dr. Pramil Tiwari
