Dear I Drug members,

Dr. Panday has raised a very important issue. There are several examples when brand name remained the same but nonproprietary drug has been changed. Some time under the same brand name two drugs are being sold, e.g MONOCEF is ceftrioxone & MONOCEF-O is cefpodoxime. There are many more examples of sound alike &  look alike drugs (SALA) leading to confusion & medication errors. Nothing is being done till now. Let all of us pin down some good examples& as a group we can approach the concerned authorities.
