Dear Dr. Girish Kumar,
WHO has developed a standardized methodology with an NGO, Health Action International (HAI) that measures medicine prices, availability and affordability of common essential medicines. As the methodology is standard, it measures prices in reference to an international reference price and affordability in reference to daily wage of the lowest paid unskilled government worker of the particular country, results from different countries can be compared.
In India we have done 7 surveys according to this methodology and Pakistan has also done a survey.
You can look at table 7 (Page 27) of Pakistan medicine price survey that compares the affordability of treatment for Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and few other countries, report is available on:
