Blood Bags Labeling in India (1)
**********************************

Hi,

I want to know which people are directly or indirectly attached to healthcare industry do to avoid counterfeit drugs which is growing menace very fast in Indian market. It not only causes a lot of problems to patients but also gives bad name to our country in whole world when reports say that roughly 40% of Indian drugs coming to international market are counterfeit. I am not able to understand why there are no rules or checks to see what people are facing in there daily life. Apart from that I also want to draw attention to one more issue about blood bags here in India. We are least bothered about the kind of secondary label we stick on blood bags. According to USFDA there are specific guidelines for even secondary labels, but I have seen a lot of blood banks putting secondary label directly on blood bags. Without understanding the consequences that glue can seep in blood.

Thanks
Yours
