I-Pill a morning after oral contraceptive (13)
**********************************************
Dear all.
A news item in the Times of India, Nov 24, 2007 states that the abortions among the teens are on a rise. Gynecologists report that educated girls between 17-20 years come for abortions. The approximate ratio of abortions in MTP centers to illegal centres is 1:4.In addition many pop pills or visit quacks to terminate unwanted pregnancies. In this scenario use of I-pill (morning after pill) is a right approach and all the stake holders should educate the users for its proper use. This would avoid unwanted pregnancies and the morbidity and mortality associated with premature termination of pregnancy. I fully agree with the views of Dr Suneeta Mittal.
