The following letter has been sent by post to all the Heads of Medical Colleges in India, requesting them to display the same on their college notice board,

Drug Action Forum ? Karnataka is an independent, voluntary, non profit, non government organization (NGO), campaigning for Rational Drug Therapy and Policy.
We are happy to announce ?DAF-K award - 2007?, this year for an article from medical students. The sole aim of this is to create awareness about Rational Drug and Therapeutics among medical students. The details of the award for the students wishing to participate by sending an article are sent as attachment to this letter. The same may kindly be displayed on the college notice board, so that students interested in participating can contact.
We would appreciate if you would kindly pass on this information to various Heads of Departments of your institute.

?DAF-K award 2007?
Drug Action Forum ? Karnataka (DAF-K) announces an award of Rupees 2000 (Rupees Two Thousand only) for the best article on the title ?Imatinib mesylate - the controversy surrounding it?. REFERENCES* have been suggested for gathering information on the topic (please see below). Students are welcome to refer other sources and should mention all the references at the end of their article.
The cash prize will be given away at a public function during last week of May 2008 at Dharwad.
Rules for entry:-
1. Entry is restricted only for medical students (under graduates, post graduates and internees).
2. Article should be attached with a photocopy of the identity card (with self attestation) of the student or a letter from the Head of the institute or Head of any Department in which the student is currently studying, stating so.
3. Each student is eligible for only one entry.
4. Article should not exceed 3000 words. Article should preferably be typed or neatly and legibly written on one side of full sheet of A4 size.
5. Article should reach the undersigned at the address mentioned above, on or before 15th February 2008. Late entries will be rejected.
6. Decision of the DAF-K judges will be final and no enquiries will be allowed.
7. All the articles will be the property of DAF-K and the same will not be returned.
