I pill has been there since long. Manufacturers wanted these drug combinations to be cleared for advertisement to prevent trauma of unwanted pregnancies and population control.DCGI, (Drugs controller general India) allowed this, to be advertised on condition of maintaining decency in advertisement. If some one has authentic data/information that this drug is misused by teenagers, i.e. juvenile sex offenders and is a cause for concern in AIDS prevention, matter may be then brought before the DCGI which will in all probability will be taken for discussion in the next Drugs consultative committee meeting. If nothing happens and if it is strongly felt that this combination is doing more harm than good- A public interest litigation making all stakeholders as respondents may be thought of.
