Dear I-Drug Members,
HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL.
I want to initiate a useful debate on Cipla?s I-Pill, a morning after oral contraceptive recently launched here. It was opined by one doctor in Mumbai that the media advertising of this emergency oral contraceptive should be very responsible and must emphasize on its use by couples who wish to space their children or as an effective measure of family planning. It may not be used by teenagers across our country as a tool for easy premarital sex. In fact this could lead to increase in HIV transmission in unprotected sex by adolescents to avoid unwanted pregnancies and bring in new set of problems.
