Tirofiban, Liposomal Doxorubicin Or Vancomycin: A Query? (2)
***********************************************************

Dear Amit,

Liposomal and Particularly PEGYLATED liposomal doxorubicin is found to be more effective than doxorubicin in AIDS related Kaposi sarcoma in a phase-III trial. As such liposomal carriers reduce toxicity and increase efficacy of other drugs also such as Amphotericin-B.

Regarding the comparison of Tirofiban and streptokinase (or other fibrinolytics) randomized controlled trials results may be seen at the Pub Med sites such as PMID 15609115 and PMID 16080980. Furthermore ACC and AHA have issued guidelines for the use of newer antiplatelets for unstable angina and after PCI. You may visit the sites such as circ.ahajournals.org and www.americanheart.org. You may find results of head-head comparison also.
