MI or STROKE? A Query (2)
*************************
Hi Amit,
Quite interesting patient with all the risk factors for both Myocardial Infarction and Stroke. But I would expect that the chances for him developing an MI are more than Stroke, mainly because of the risk factors that he has. He can also develop stroke but for that to happen we will need to know his hypertension status, whether it is controlled or not. But Diabetes, overweight and high lipid profile along with high stress levels is an ideal scenario for having a MI. Also note that diabetics are prone to silent MI's i.e. there may not be the classic chest pain prior to the attack.
I hope this helps.
