Dear all, 

Definitely it is a good move by PCI-appointing pharmacy inspectors. In fact, our council is the first council in India to appoint pharmacy teachers as pharmacy inspectors to inspect the community pharmacy
outlets in Karnataka. But there are lot of Ifs and Buts. How far we are successful is a big question mark?  State councils should be given some power to monitor this activity and this message has to be conveyed to State Drug Control authorities too. It may create unnecessary ego clash between drug inspectors and pharmacy inspectors otherwise. A clear cut job description should be there for PIs to put these community pharmacists in place.
