Dear members,

I fully agree with Dr. Ray regarding structuring and incorporating the concept of clinical / hospital pharmacy in their course curriculum. Secondly, as mentioned by Dr Patvardhnan the clinician may not have time to teach the pharmacist. So why not give the students hands on experience with patients in a variety of health care settings to convey information about drugs to patients, study of patient care with special emphasis on drug products etc. Residency training in pharmacy practice may add another 6-12 months to their total education but it will be fruitful in long run.
