Dear all,
Pharmacist?s knowledge on drugs, counseling skills has to be improved by training periodically, PCI already recommends the state pharmacy councils and colleges to conduct training program for pharmacist and funding to the extent of 5000 is given towards it. I really do not know how many organizations are utilizing this opportunity.

>From our drug information center, out of many publications made for pharmacists, one which is notable is "pharma SOS". This book provides counseling information in easy readable format for more than 1000 drugs in generic name. community /hospital pharmacists can use this for counseling their patients. Many easy ways and avenues are made for pharmacists, but ultimately it is left to the practicing pharmacists to use the available opportunities effectively.
