Pharmacist and Doctor important Link (17)
*****************************************
I strongly agree with Dr. Mohanta. Recently we completed five days workshop on DI training for post graduate participants who are required to start DIC for their states. (KSPC-WHO India country office sponsored). I found that none of the participants have sound clinical knowledge to understand the concepts. We had a great difficulty in training individuals in spite their post graduation qualification in pharmacy. I strongly feel that the undergraduate curriculum should impart clinical knowledge from second year by posting them in a hospital. I also feel that course recognition should come to a pharmacy college on a condition that they should attach to either a government or private hospital. AICTE has to implement this condition so that at any level pharmacists wavelengths will tally with medical professionals and he will not work in isolation.
