Dear Dr Aggarwal,
Thanks for your thoughts about distributing the book "Developing Pharmacy Practice ? a Focus on Patient Care" to all pharmacies. Through Indian Pharmaceutical Association, State Pharmacy Council's Drug Information Centres, consistent efforts are being made in last few years to educate the pharmacists about their role & update their knowledge.
Of course it is a huge task. Now the Chemist Associations are also working for the same cause with us & that is really encouraging. We had some positive experiences when we carried out 'TB Fact Card project" in 50 Pharmacies is Mumbai where the pharmacists monitored the treatment of TB patients & spread awareness about TB among all the patients. We understand that it is a beginning & we have long way to go and co-operation & help from medical professionals is very valuable. We are in constant touch with FIP (who published the book with WHO)-Press Division & can find out the formalities for permission. We are sure that they will have no problems in giving the necessary permission. Kindly let us know if we can move in this direction.
Thanks once more for your thoughts of helping to publish & distribute the book. It surely is great encouragement.
With best regards
