Dear friends,  

All India Drug Action Network (AIDAN) will meet on 27th December 2006, from 10 am to 6 pm, at National Tuberculosis Institute (NTI), AVALON No 8, Bellary Road, Bangalore 560003.
  
As an initial planning for the AIDAN meeting on December 27, 2006 a few of us (Gopal Dabade, Ravi Narayan, Chinu) have met separately at various times. This list of agendas is just compilation of the points from the various discussions and emails (including the AIDAN meeting held at Sevagram, Wardha on July 6, 2006).
  
1) Bringing together of initiatives that individuals or organizations have taken on the issue of drugs in the last few years. These could be brought and shared/ discussed/ highlighted at the MFC annual meet.
   
  2) Subsequently in National Health Assembly II (NHA-2), AIDAN, as a constituent of the Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA), could facilitate a meeting on drug issues where the work done over the past decade can be highlighted and the discussions can be taken forward. 
  
3) Developing of plan of action (or work) for the year. It could be either a single issue, in which case, we need to identify the issue before the meeting. Or it could be a set of issues for which different groups of people could take responsibility.
  
4) Other issues for discussion
- Drug policy
- Drug pricing
- Data exclusivity
- Pre-grant opposition (anti-TB drug Moxiflaxacin)
- Patent (anti-cancer drug Gleevec)

5) Organisational issues
- AIDAN manifesto and brochure
- Induction of new members
- Advisory Board & Executive Committee
- Next AIDAN meet for two days

- AIDAN E-forum
- Bank Account
