Dear all,
  It often happens at various levels of health care that life saving medicines are available for first few  days of month and eventually gets out of stock and rest of the time  only limited generic of only one or other type of dosage formulation is available.Some  of them which are less used due to low  incidence  like anti snake venom are easily available which eventually gets  expired .This situation can be balanced by networking . If all hospitals -teritary , secondary and PHC are connected with central medical stores of the state Government through networking,  the information about the  details of medicines used /day, requirement for the next week along with available stock should be made available to all the hospitals , PHC and central medical store . So that the precious medicines can be shifted from one center to another before they get out of stock or expired. Secondly, Central medical store can also supply the medicines in a phase wise manner to a health center as
 per their requirements and information available on net instead of dumping all at a time. This may take care of many problems.
  Pharam . companies / NGO willing to donate medicines can supply to the centres  in need / where the stock is less as all the centers the information / data can be retrived.
  Although its a costly and time consuming project. But the results will be fruitful in long run.
