Affordibility of Essential Medicines (7)
****************************************
Dear Dr.Usha Gupta
You are right about this being the responsibility of particular groups of people. The DSPRUD has done so much in the area of rational use of drugs in India and accessibility of medicines is an important component of the programme. Communication and health education on a sustained basis I feel can contribute to increase of awareness amongst the public on RUD. The communication strategy should not comprise isolated events but a series of carefully structured methods to educate relevant segments of the population on the benefits of RUD. At least it could be a small step forward in the direction of educating the public and making them more responsible in this regard.
Regards
A.Banerji
