PPIs are essential in the interest of people only. Most of the dispensers are diploma holders. Most of users are illiterate or under literate. PPIs are useful for diploma in pharmacy people to explain things to patients. They are the main source of drug information for us in rural block, samithi headquarters, primary health centres where there is no internet, no journals, no government or private agency to give information. In fact, even for doctors working in PHCs, dispensaries, private practice, there is no appropriate information. In view of this, it is desirable to continue the PPIs . Prescribers cannot disseminate the complete information to the patient in our country due to heavy patient turnout at OPDs. 
It is a baseless argument.
