We have just launched a pilot program "arogya shop" for rural
population in Karwar, to enable access to household remedies.

We are working with local self help groups and identify local rural
teachers (tuition and balwadi, with basic education) and empowering
them to act as retail agents for household remedies.

We have had positive reponse and about 8 teachers have been
shortlisted to start the pilot program. The program will be social
entrepreneurship project with the teachers investing Rs.1000 to get
initial stock, and our doctors will provide them training on
dispensing medicine.

Any suggestions/help in this regard will be appreciated.
