Dear All,

Household remedies are overused because of the presumption that they are safe. The other reason is their easy access and promotion(word to mouth and by chemists etc). Checking it will be a slow process as its ingarined in the daily routine of common man. Education, increasing awareness about its hazards and a bit of legislation (in that order) should be the approach at the moment.
